Example workflow. Routine runs go through on their own. Only a change your rules flag, such as one over a limit you set, waits for the right person, who sees the exact change and the rule before it reaches Envia Shipping.
What gets logged
- Whether it ran on its own or who approved it, and under which rule
- A fingerprint of the exact request sent to Envia Shipping
- Envia Shipping's reply: what it created or changed
- One entry in the evidence chain, linked to the one before
Try this in the sandbox
Run the whole flow with test data in your sandbox, then connect a Envia Shipping test account before you go live.

Access and limits
- Authentication
- Provider-issued access token
- Plans and access
- Envia account with an API token for the selected environment. Carriers and services depend on the selected origin country and route; the API response determines availability. Sandbox and production tokens are separate.
- Test environment
- Separate test environment and token (queries.test.envia.com, api-test.envia.com).
- Rate limits
- Envia does not publish numeric rate limits; HTTP 429 uses bounded retries and Retry-After when supplied.
- Pagination
- Envia list endpoints return one data array. Shipments, invoices and payments are listed per calendar month.
- Provider events
- Envia webhooks push tracking status updates. Flows run on demand, on a schedule, or when a scheduled check finds new or changed records.
Before you build a flow
- Excluded: label purchase (POST /ship/generate/), pickup scheduling, manifests, commercial invoices, shipment cancellation, label download, DC-e documents, webhook creation and every delete. Each creates a carrier commitment, a charge or a document.
- Envia has no pickup read endpoint; pickup capability per carrier is available through carrier_actions.list. Pickup status follows the shipment's tracking.
- The geocodes host has no documented test environment, so zip-code lookups always use geocodes.envia.com.
- Saved addresses are returned with personal contact data; use them only for shipping purposes.
