eBay with Nexra

Connected, approved, proven.

The things teams do most with eBay, an example flow with a person in the loop, and what Nexra keeps as proof.

Top actions

  • Create or replace inventory item groupApproval by rule
  • Create or replace inventory itemApproval by rule
  • Get traffic reportRead

Example flow

  1. eBay · Get traffic reportDone
  2. eBay · Create or replace inventory item groupNeeds approval
  3. Nexra · Record the decision and result in the evidence chainProven

Example workflow. Routine runs go through on their own. Only a change your rules flag, such as one over a limit you set, waits for the right person, who sees the exact change and the rule before it reaches eBay.

What gets logged

  • Whether it ran on its own or who approved it, and under which rule
  • A fingerprint of the exact request sent to eBay
  • eBay's reply: what it created or changed
  • One entry in the evidence chain, linked to the one before

Try this in the sandbox

Run the whole flow with test data in your sandbox, then connect a eBay test account before you go live.

Access and limits

Authentication
OAuth user token (client ID, client secret and refresh token)
Plans and access
eBay Developers Program application with a seller account authorising it. The user token needs sell.inventory, sell.fulfillment, sell.account and sell.analytics.readonly scopes. Inventory API listings cannot be edited in Seller Hub tools that use the Trading API.
Test environment
Use the sandbox host (api.sandbox.ebay.com) with sandbox keys and a sandbox seller.
Rate limits
Daily call limits per application and API (for example Inventory and Fulfillment about 2,000,000 and Analytics 400 per day after growth check; lower defaults before). HTTP 429 when exceeded.
Pagination
offset and limit (max 200) with total and next links.
Provider events
Notification API and Platform Notifications for orders and listings. Flows run on demand, on a schedule, or when a scheduled check finds new or changed records.

Before you build a flow

  • Refunds, order cancellations, offer withdrawals and deletes are not implemented.
  • Inventory item create-or-replace overwrites the whole record; send every field you want to keep.
  • Order date filters cover the last 90 days; older orders are reachable by order ID.
  • eBay documents no idempotency key; offer creation and shipping fulfilments are not repeated automatically when uncertain.
  • Listings created in Seller Hub or the Trading API are not visible to the Inventory API until migrated.
  • Not implemented by design: refunds, order cancellations, offer withdrawals (ending listings), payment dispute actions, shipping label purchases, buyer messaging, deletes, programme opt-in or opt-out, and policy or sales tax writes.
  • Restricted-data APIs (Finances, buyer identity and member messaging) are not used.
  • Price and quantity updates report per-SKU and per-offer results; a partial failure returns HTTP 207 with errors on the affected records.
  • Custom policies, rate tables, sales tax tables and programmes return a single page as documented.
