Example flow
- Google Ads · Run performance reportDone
- Google Ads · Create paused ad groupNeeds approval
- Nexra · Record the decision and result in the evidence chainProven
Example workflow. Routine runs go through on their own. Only a change your rules flag, such as one over a limit you set, waits for the right person, who sees the exact change and the rule before it reaches Google Ads.
What gets logged
- Whether it ran on its own or who approved it, and under which rule
- A fingerprint of the exact request sent to Google Ads
- Google Ads's reply: what it created or changed
- One entry in the evidence chain, linked to the one before
Try this in the sandbox
Run the whole flow with test data in your sandbox, then connect a Google test account before you go live.

Access and limits
- Authentication
- Google OAuth client, refresh token and developer token
- Plans and access
- Requires a Google Ads manager account developer token (Basic or Standard access for production accounts). Test-access developer tokens only work with test accounts; the OAuth user needs access to the customer (directly or through the login manager account).
- Test environment
- Create a test manager account and test client accounts for test-access developer tokens.
- Rate limits
- Daily operation limits depend on developer token access level (Basic: 15,000 operations per day); RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED errors return HTTP 429.
- Pagination
- Named list operations use keyset pages ordered by resource ID; report queries return a single page of up to 1,000 rows (GAQL LIMIT).
- Provider events
- Google Ads has no webhooks. Flows run on demand, on a schedule, or when a scheduled check finds new or changed records.
Before you build a flow
- Pinned to Google Ads API v25; upgrade before its sunset (August 2027).
- Campaigns, ad groups and ads are always created PAUSED; enabling them or changing budgets requires an explicit status or amount input.
- Intentionally excluded: removing campaigns, ad groups, ads, budgets or keywords; conversion retractions; applying or dismissing recommendations; Customer Match member uploads; and any new mutation that changes spend.
- Change status reads return one page bounded by GAQL LIMIT and only the last 90 days; advance updatedSince to read further.
- Recommendations are read without impact metrics; Nexra never applies them.
- Report queries are built only from an allow-listed resource, validated field names, a date preset or explicit dates and an optional campaign filter; free-form GAQL is not accepted.
- Mutates other than click conversion uploads and order-keyed adjustments have no idempotency key; uncertain writes are not repeated automatically.
- Click, call and adjustment uploads use partial failure; per-row errors are returned on the record instead of failing the run.
