Access and limits
- Authentication
- Insightly API key (HTTP Basic, empty password)
- Plans and access
- All paid Insightly CRM plans include API access; daily request quotas depend on the plan. Requests run as the user who owns the API key and follow that user's permissions.
- Test environment
- An Insightly trial instance can be used for testing.
- Rate limits
- 10 requests per second per instance and a plan-based daily quota (1,000 to 100,000); HTTP 429 when exceeded.
- Pagination
- skip/top offsets with up to 500 records per page.
- Provider events
- Insightly workflow automation can call webhooks on record events. Flows run on demand, on a schedule, or when a scheduled check finds new or changed records.
Before you build a flow
- Opportunity and project pipeline and stage changes are not exposed: a stage change can assign the stage's activity set (an automation). Price book changes on an opportunity, lead conversion and file uploads are not exposed either.
- Custom field values are returned keyed by FIELD_NAME; field types come from custom_fields.list.
- Insightly has no idempotency key; uncertain creates are not repeated automatically.
- Tickets are read and updated only: ticket creation, comments and replies can email customers and are not exposed. Ticket status or owner changes can still fire Insightly Service notifications.
- Prospects (Insightly Marketing) are read-only, and static list membership is not exposed, because both can enrol people in marketing journeys and sends.
- Not exposed: deletes, ticket merges, follows, merge documents, activity set assignment, team and team member changes, permissions, community forums, knowledge articles, translations and image uploads.

- In Nexra, open Connect, then Connections, then New connection, choose Insightly, enter its settings and credentials, and tick only the write actions you need. Connection guide
