Jotform with Nexra

Connected, approved, proven.

The things teams do most with Jotform, an example flow with a person in the loop, and what Nexra keeps as proof.

Top actions

  • Create folderApproval by rule
  • Clone formApproval by rule
  • List form reportsRead

Example flow

  1. Jotform · List form reportsDone
  2. Jotform · Create folderNeeds approval
  3. Nexra · Record the decision and result in the evidence chainProven

Example workflow. Routine runs go through on their own. Only a change your rules flag, such as one over a limit you set, waits for the right person, who sees the exact change and the rule before it reaches Jotform.

What gets logged

  • Whether it ran on its own or who approved it, and under which rule
  • A fingerprint of the exact request sent to Jotform
  • Jotform's reply: what it created or changed
  • One entry in the evidence chain, linked to the one before

Try this in the sandbox

Run the whole flow with test data in your sandbox, then connect your own account when you are ready to go live.

Access and limits

Authentication
Jotform API key
Plans and access
All Jotform plans. Daily API limits: 1,000 (Starter), 10,000 (Bronze), 50,000 (Silver), 100,000 (Gold); Enterprise has no API limit. The API key acts as the account owner (or sub-user) and must have Full Access for write operations; Read Access keys can only read.
Test environment
Use a free Starter account or a test form for testing.
Rate limits
Daily request allowance per plan (1,000 Starter to 100,000 Gold, unlimited Enterprise); each response reports limit-left.
Pagination
offset and limit (default 20, max 1,000) with resultSet.count.
Provider events
Per-form webhooks that post each new submission to a URL. Flows run on demand, on a schedule, or when a scheduled check finds new or changed records.

Before you build a flow

  • Deletes (forms, submissions, questions, folders, reports, labels, webhooks), removing resources from labels, user settings changes, sub-user management, account registration and login, and webhook registration are not implemented.
  • Bulk writes (PUT /form/{id}/submissions, PUT /user/forms and PUT /form/{id}/questions) are not implemented; submissions are read-only apart from editing answers on an existing submission.
  • submissions.search and forms.search accept only validated filters (date ranges, IDs, status, read and flag state, workflow status, exact form title). The fullText submission filter is not exposed because a search term would put personal data in the query string.
  • history.list leaves out the IP address Jotform records for each event.
  • /user/invoices and /user/settings/{key} appear only in Jotform's cURL samples without a documented contract, so they are not implemented.
  • Forms are created without email notifications or autoresponders; configure emails in Jotform.
  • Creating a submission through the API runs the form's own notification and autoresponder emails as if it had been submitted online.
  • Filters on created_at and updated_at compare YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS in the account's time zone; there is no timezone offset in the filter.
  • Labels can be created, renamed or recoloured, and forms, workflows, sheets and apps (portals) added to them; label_resources.create accepts only the four resource types Jotform documents.
  • label_resources.list returns Jotform's first page of label resources; the offset and limit parameters shown only in Jotform's cURL sample are not used.
  • Uploads returned by form_files.list are links; Nexra does not download file contents.
  • Jotform has no idempotency key; uncertain creates are not repeated automatically.
