Example flow
- Mercado Libre · Get billing summaryDone
- Mercado Libre · Answer questionNeeds approval
- Nexra · Record the decision and result in the evidence chainProven
Example workflow. Routine runs go through on their own. Only a change your rules flag, such as one over a limit you set, waits for the right person, who sees the exact change and the rule before it reaches Mercado Libre.
What gets logged
- Whether it ran on its own or who approved it, and under which rule
- A fingerprint of the exact request sent to Mercado Libre
- Mercado Libre's reply: what it created or changed
- One entry in the evidence chain, linked to the one before

Access and limits
- Authentication
- OAuth 2.0 refresh token (single-use, rotated on refresh)
- Plans and access
- Any Mercado Libre seller with a registered application in the DevCenter. The application needs read, write and offline_access permissions; some categories require the User Products model (family_name instead of title).
- Test environment
- Create test users with POST /users/test_user on your application to test listings and orders.
- Rate limits
- Per-application quotas (orders search about 100 requests per minute); HTTP 429 when exceeded. Access tokens last 6 hours.
- Pagination
- offset and limit with paging.total (items search max 100 per page and 1,000 results; orders 51 per page).
- Provider events
- Notifications for orders_v2, items, questions, shipments and payments topics. Flows run on demand, on a schedule, or when a scheduled check finds new or changed records.
Before you build a flow
- This is the marketplace API; Mercado Pago payments are a separate connector.
- Refresh tokens are single-use: every refresh writes the new token back to the secure vault, and a failed write requires re-authorisation.
- Item search returns IDs only; use Get item or Get items (multi-get, 20 per call) for full details. Results beyond 1,000 need scan mode, which is not implemented.
- Intentionally excluded: closing or deleting listings and variations, cancellations, refunds, claim actions (messages, evidence, disputes), joining or leaving promotions, and sending buyer messages.
- Claims, post-sale messages, promotions, billing and visits are read-only. Reading post-sale messages passes mark_as_read=false so the seller's unread state is unchanged.
- Picture uploads (multipart) are not implemented; Replace item pictures links existing picture IDs or public HTTPS image URLs, and drops pictures left out.
- Promotion item paging uses Mercado Libre's search_after token, which expires after 5 minutes.
- Billing reads default to the ML (Mercado Libre) group; MLM uses the period expiration date as the period key.
- Mercado Libre documents no idempotency key; item creation and answers are not repeated automatically when uncertain.
- Buyer contact details and addresses are masked by Mercado Libre and only available on shipments.
