Example workflow. Routine runs go through on their own. Only a change your rules flag, such as one over a limit you set, waits for the right person, who sees the exact change and the rule before it reaches Productive.
What gets logged
- Whether it ran on its own or who approved it, and under which rule
- A fingerprint of the exact request sent to Productive
- Productive's reply: what it created or changed
- One entry in the evidence chain, linked to the one before
Try this in the sandbox
Run the whole flow with test data in your sandbox, then connect your own account when you are ready to go live.

Access and limits
- Authentication
- API token with organisation ID
- Plans and access
- All Productive plans with API access; budgets, invoicing and custom fields depend on the plan. API tokens act as the user who created them, with read-only or full access, and follow that user's permissions.
- Test environment
- Use a Productive trial organisation for testing.
- Rate limits
- 100 requests per 10 seconds and 4,000 per 30 minutes per token (reports 10 per 30 seconds); HTTP 429.
- Pagination
- page[number] and page[size] (up to 200) with meta.total_pages.
- Provider events
- Productive webhooks for task, deal, time entry and other events. Flows run on demand, on a schedule, or when a scheduled check finds new or changed records.
Before you build a flow
- Budgets are deals with budget = true; there is no separate budgets endpoint.
- Comments are always created as the token's user.
- Invoices and payments are read-only in Nexra; creating, finalising, sending or paying invoices and recording payments are not automated.
- Excluded on purpose: every delete, archive, merge and restore endpoint, expense and time approval or rejection, accounting exports, creating or inviting people (invitations), deactivating people, and bulk endpoints.
- Incremental filters (filter[updated_at][gt_eq]) are used for tasks, time entries, services, expenses and bookings; Productive compares by date unless its datetime filtering flag is enabled for the organisation.
- Money attributes (expense amounts, invoice totals) are passed through exactly as Productive returns and accepts them; Nexra does not convert currency units.
- Productive has no idempotency key; uncertain creates are not repeated automatically.
Developer reference
- Create the Productive.io credentials described above with the narrowest permissions your flows need.
- In Nexra, open Connect, then Connections, then New connection, choose Productive, enter its settings and credentials, and tick only the write actions you need. Connection guide
- Test the connection, then use its actions as flow sources and destinations. Flow guide
