Example flow
- Teamwork.com · List latest activityDone
- Teamwork.com · Add task commentNeeds approval
- Nexra · Record the decision and result in the evidence chainProven
Example workflow. Routine runs go through on their own. Only a change your rules flag, such as one over a limit you set, waits for the right person, who sees the exact change and the rule before it reaches Teamwork.com.
What gets logged
- Whether it ran on its own or who approved it, and under which rule
- A fingerprint of the exact request sent to Teamwork.com
- Teamwork.com's reply: what it created or changed
- One entry in the evidence chain, linked to the one before
Try this in the sandbox
Run the whole flow with test data in your sandbox, then connect your own account when you are ready to go live.

Access and limits
- Authentication
- Teamwork.com API key (Basic authentication)
- Plans and access
- All Teamwork.com plans with API access; custom fields and time tracking depend on plan. Access follows the permissions of the user whose API key is used.
- Test environment
- Use a Teamwork.com trial site; there is no separate sandbox host.
- Rate limits
- 150 requests per minute up to the Grow plan and 300 on Scale; HTTP 429 until the window resets.
- Pagination
- page and pageSize with meta.page.hasMore on v3 list endpoints.
- Provider events
- Teamwork.com webhooks for task, milestone, comment and time events. Flows run on demand, on a schedule, or when a scheduled check finds new or changed records.
Before you build a flow
- Custom domains are not supported; use the teamwork.com or eu.teamwork.com address.
- Project, task list and milestone writes and comment edits use the v1 endpoints because v3 does not offer them.
- The v1 task list request schema only documents task defaults; name, description and milestone-id follow the documented task list fields.
- Predecessor types start and complete follow Teamwork's dependency options; the API reference does not enumerate them.
- File metadata is read; file contents are not transferred.
- Teamwork.com has no idempotency key; uncertain creates are not repeated automatically.
- Company custom fields, logos and client portal links are not written; company and project custom field values are read with their definitions.
- Notebook writes never send notifications; notebook tags, privacy lists and locking are not changed.
- Messages are read only: posting a message notifies project members, so Nexra does not create or edit them.
- Intentionally excluded: every delete and bulk delete, project, task and company trashing, adding or removing people from projects, user creation and invitations, permission and role changes, job roles and skills assignments, reminders (they notify people), timer start/stop, time approval reopen, invoices, expenses, quotes and budgets.
