Access and limits

Authentication
API ID and API key (HMAC-signed requests)
Plans and access
All Unleashed subscriptions, including trials, include API access. The API ID and key belong to a user and inherit that user's permissions.
Test environment
Use an Unleashed trial account; the API sandbox needs an Unleashed login.
Rate limits
Unleashed does not publish a fixed quota; HTTP 429 responses are retried with backoff.
Pagination
Page number in the path (/Resource/{page}) with pageSize up to 1000 and a Pagination block.
Provider events
Webhooks for sales orders, purchase orders, products and stock changes. Flows run on demand, on a schedule, or when a scheduled check finds new or changed records.

Before you build a flow

  • Products and customers are written with POST to a GUID, which creates or fully replaces the record: Unleashed clears fields left blank, so map every field you want to keep.
  • Sales order, purchase order and transfer updates use PUT, which also overwrites omitted editable fields with blanks.
  • Creates use a client GUID (supplied, or derived from the flow execution), so a retried create updates the same record instead of duplicating; warehouse transfers do not accept a client GUID and have no duplicate protection.
  • Suppliers, warehouses, invoices, credit notes, sales quotes, sales shipments, assemblies, bills of materials, batch and serial numbers, stock counts, supplier returns, product prices and reference data are read only here (several are read-only in the Unleashed API).
  • Draft sales and purchase orders are always created as Parked. The existing Create sales order, Create purchase order and update operations also accept Placed, and Update purchase order accepts Costed. Prefer the draft operations, which cannot place an order.
  • Excluded by policy: completing, receipting, deleting or obsoleting any record; sales shipment, credit note, assembly, bill of materials and supplier return writes; and line-level endpoints.
  • Authentication signs the query string with HMAC-SHA256 (unchanged); no secret or personal data is placed in the URL. Filters use codes and GUIDs only.
  • Stock by warehouse (/StockOnHand/{productGuid}/AllWarehouses) and single stock-on-hand reads accept an Items list or a single object; the response wrapper is not shown in the docs.
  • Completing, receipting, deleting and obsoleting orders, transfers and products are not automated.
  • JSON dates arrive as /Date(ms)/ and are returned as ISO 8601 timestamps.
