Walmart Marketplace with Nexra

Connected, approved, proven.

The things teams do most with Walmart Marketplace, an example flow with a person in the loop, and what Nexra keeps as proof.

Example flow

  1. Walmart Marketplace · List reconciliation report datesDone
  2. Walmart Marketplace · Acknowledge orderNeeds approval
  3. Nexra · Record the decision and result in the evidence chainProven

Example workflow. Routine runs go through on their own. Only a change your rules flag, such as one over a limit you set, waits for the right person, who sees the exact change and the rule before it reaches Walmart Marketplace.

What gets logged

  • Whether it ran on its own or who approved it, and under which rule
  • A fingerprint of the exact request sent to Walmart Marketplace
  • Walmart Marketplace's reply: what it created or changed
  • One entry in the evidence chain, linked to the one before

Try this in the sandbox

Run the whole flow with test data in your sandbox, then connect a Walmart test account before you go live.

Access and limits

Authentication
Walmart client ID and client secret (client-credentials token)
Plans and access
Approved Walmart Marketplace (US) sellers. Client ID and secret are generated in Seller Center Developer Portal; delegated access for solution providers uses different keys.
Test environment
Walmart offers a sandbox host with mock data (sandbox.walmartapis.com); this connection targets production.
Rate limits
Token buckets per seller and endpoint: items 300/min (60/min with filters), catalog search 1,000/hour, single item 900/min, orders 5,000/min, acknowledge and ship 60/min, inventory 200/min, price 100/hour, returns 50/min, feeds 5,000/min, report requests 200/min and downloads 20/hour. x-current-token-count and X-Next-Replenishment-Time report the bucket; HTTP 429 when empty.
Pagination
Items, catalog search, multi-node inventory and listing quality return nextCursor tokens; orders, released orders and returns return a query string that Nexra appends unchanged. Feeds and WFS use offset and limit; reconciliation lines use offset with nextOffset.
Provider events
Event notifications for orders, items, inventory and reports. Flows run on demand, on a schedule, or when a scheduled check finds new or changed records.

Before you build a flow

  • US marketplace only; Canada and Mexico use different hosts and authentication.
  • Intentionally excluded: refunds (issue refund, refund order lines), order and WFS shipment cancellations, item retirement, report schedule and notification subscription deletes, and shipping template or fulfilment centre changes.
  • Promotional prices are read-only; price updates set only BASE, REDUCED or CLEARANCE prices from explicit input.
  • Lag time updates are submitted as a lagtime feed and processed asynchronously; read the feed status for the outcome.
  • Reconciliation lines carry no Walmart identifier, so Nexra derives a stable ID by hashing each line. The legacy (non-v1) reconciliation format and zipped CSV downloads are not read.
  • Walmart no longer documents a separate Rules API; shipping settings are read from the Settings APIs (templates, ship nodes, partner and shipping profiles).
  • Unpublished items return a single page (Walmart documents only a limit).
  • Walmart documents no idempotency key; ship-with-tracking and report requests are not repeated automatically when the outcome is uncertain.
  • Item creation uses bulk feeds (MP_ITEM spec), which are not implemented; feed status reads are available.
  • Order lists cover the last 180 days (maximum 10,000 per query).
  • Report downloads return a pre-signed URL that Nexra does not fetch.
