Wix with Nexra

Connected, approved, proven.

The things teams do most with Wix, an example flow with a person in the loop, and what Nexra keeps as proof.

Top actions

  • Create store categoryApproval by rule
  • Create contactApproval by rule
  • Query blog postsRead

Example flow

  1. Wix · Query blog postsDone
  2. Wix · Create store categoryNeeds approval
  3. Nexra · Record the decision and result in the evidence chainProven

Example workflow. Routine runs go through on their own. Only a change your rules flag, such as one over a limit you set, waits for the right person, who sees the exact change and the rule before it reaches Wix.

What gets logged

  • Whether it ran on its own or who approved it, and under which rule
  • A fingerprint of the exact request sent to Wix
  • Wix's reply: what it created or changed
  • One entry in the evidence chain, linked to the one before

Try this in the sandbox

Run the whole flow with test data in your sandbox, then connect your own account when you are ready to go live.

Access and limits

Authentication
Wix API key with wix-site-id
Plans and access
A Wix site on a plan with Wix Stores or Wix eCommerce for store operations. Account-level API keys are created in the API Keys Manager with per-API permissions and need the wix-site-id header for site APIs. Sites still on Stores Catalog V1 must migrate to Catalog V3.
Test environment
Use a free test site with Wix Stores installed.
Rate limits
Per-site and per-API limits (commonly about 200 requests per minute for site APIs); HTTP 429 when exceeded.
Pagination
Catalogue, inventory, brands, categories, orders, bookings and loyalty use cursorPaging (pagingMetadata.cursors.next); contacts, members, services, events, coupons and blog posts use offset paging.
Provider events
Webhooks for orders, products, inventory and contacts events. Flows run on demand, on a schedule, or when a scheduled check finds new or changed records.

Before you build a flow

  • Targets Stores Catalog V3; sites on Catalog V1 (collections) are not supported until migrated.
  • Updates require the current revision (read the record first); stale revisions are rejected.
  • Intentionally excluded: refunds, order and event cancellations, payments, deletes, cart and checkout changes, booking creation or status changes, member approval or blocking, loyalty point adjustments, and coupon updates.
  • Carts and checkouts are read by ID only; Wix has no API to list carts for a site.
  • Coupon queries use Wix's legacy string filter and sort; only the expired filter is exposed.
  • Event reads request the DETAILS, REGISTRATION and URLS field sets; guest lists and ticket orders are not read.
  • Order search excludes PENDING and REJECTED orders unless filtered by status.
  • Wix documents no idempotency key; product, category, contact and coupon creation and fulfilments are not repeated automatically when uncertain.

Developer reference

  1. Create the Wix credentials described above with the narrowest permissions your flows need.
  2. In Nexra, open Connect, then Connections, then New connection, choose Wix, enter its settings and credentials, and tick only the write actions you need. Connection guide
  3. Test the connection, then use its actions as flow sources and destinations. Flow guide
