Zoho Desk with Nexra

Connected, approved, proven.

The things teams do most with Zoho Desk, an example flow with a person in the loop, and what Nexra keeps as proof.

Top actions

Example flow

  1. Zoho Desk · List account commentsDone
  2. Zoho Desk · Add account commentNeeds approval
  3. Nexra · Record the decision and result in the evidence chainProven

Example workflow. Routine runs go through on their own. Only a change your rules flag, such as one over a limit you set, waits for the right person, who sees the exact change and the rule before it reaches Zoho Desk.

What gets logged

  • Whether it ran on its own or who approved it, and under which rule
  • A fingerprint of the exact request sent to Zoho Desk
  • Zoho Desk's reply: what it created or changed
  • One entry in the evidence chain, linked to the one before

Try this in the sandbox

Run the whole flow with test data in your sandbox, then connect your own account when you are ready to go live.

Access and limits

Authentication
Zoho OAuth client with an offline refresh token
Plans and access
All Zoho Desk editions. Daily API credits: 5,000 (Free/Trial), 25,000 + 100 per user (Express), 50,000 + 250 per user (Standard), 75,000 + 500 per user (Professional), 100,000 + 1,000 per user (Enterprise). Calls act as the agent who authorised the OAuth client, follow that agent's profile and department permissions, and are bound to the organization chosen at consent.
Test environment
Use a Zoho Desk trial, free edition or sandbox portal for testing.
Rate limits
Daily API credits per edition (1 credit per single-record call, 3+ per list page depending on depth) plus 5-25 concurrent calls; HTTP 429 with Retry-After once the daily credits are exhausted.
Pagination
from (zero-based index) and limit (max 100; threads 200; departments and agents 200). Search APIs accept from 0-999.
Provider events
Event subscriptions (webhooks) for ticket, contact, account, task and other module events, managed under Setup → Developer Space. Flows run on demand, on a schedule, or when a scheduled check finds new or changed records.

Before you build a flow

  • Replies are never sent: sendReply, draft replies, email forwarding and sending tickets as email (ticketCreationType=sendAsEmail) are not implemented. Ticket threads are read only.
  • Ticket updates set disableClosureNotification=true unless notifyContactOnClose is true, so closing a ticket from a flow does not email the contact by default.
  • Ticket creation may still trigger the organization's own workflow rules and auto-acknowledgement emails configured in Zoho Desk.
  • Deletes, trash, spam marking, merges, splits, moves, approvals, blueprint transitions, time entries, attachments, agent and department administration are not implemented.
  • List APIs have no modified-time filter; incremental reads use the search APIs with modifiedTimeRange, which return at most 1,000 records per range (from 0-999).
  • The accounts list documents from with a default of 1 while other modules are zero-based; Nexra pages every list from 0 as the search and product references specify.
  • Searching by email, phone or name is not offered because it would place personal data in the query string. tickets_by_field.search accepts only IDs, ticket numbers, status, priority, channel and category labels and date ranges; subject, description, email, phone, contact and account name, tag, full-text (_all) and custom-field searches are not exposed, and wildcard and empty checks are rejected.
  • Contact, account and task comments are internal notes; Zoho Desk has no public flag for them. Ticket comments stay private unless isPublic is set.
  • Attachment metadata is listed, but attachment content is never downloaded or uploaded.
  • Teams, team members, department agents, views and field definitions are read only; agent, team and field administration is not implemented. Agent search by name or email (searchStr) is not offered.
  • Ticket counts cost 50 API credits per call.
  • views.list accepts the tickets, contacts, accounts, tasks and products modules; Zoho documents the module parameter without listing every allowed value.
  • Task reminders and alert types are not set by Nexra.
  • Zoho Desk has no idempotency key; uncertain creates are not repeated automatically.
